Program Eligibility

Participating Employers must:

• Be an Alberta-based company.

• Be in the construction, or related, industry.

• Have no unsatisfied employment standards  judgments against them.

• Must be a minimum of 200 hours worked.

• Must have their primary place of work in Alberta.

• Must pay at least minimum wage.

• The position must provide a meaningful work experience related to the student’s program of study.

• CNTP cannot support labour or apprenticeship positions.

• Placements must be approved before the student begins work. 

Student Candidates must:

• Be a current student or recent graduate (within 12 months) of an Alberta, publicly-funded post-secondary institution. 

• Be legally able to work in Canada.

• Be interested in gaining work experience in the construction industry.
