Gateway Mechanical currently has an exciting opportunity for a Credit & Collections Administrator!

Attending to 40,000+ service calls per year, Gateway is the largest HVAC & Refrigeration service provider in Western Canada. Our model is comprised of local branch teams with fully qualified personnel representing HVAC, refrigeration, plumbing/gas fitting, sheet metal, and electrical trades. These teams are supported by centers of excellence including professional engineers and project managers which ensures Gateway’s full technical capability is available for every project and service call.
The Credit &Collections Administrator is responsible of the collection of accounts receivables, monitoring of customer accounts, and providing timely and effective solutions of any collection issues.
Responsibilities
Collection of account receivables;
Escalation of billing and collection issues to Credit & Collections Analyst or Controller for further action;
Update customer record in the ERP system, ensuring a high level of data integrity;
Identify all customer accounts that have become past due by analyzing monthly receivables compared to the payments received;
Contact customers to seek payment, and monitor the progress of payment;
Maintain customer files in the ERP system;
Respond to internal and external customer inquiries;
Minimum Requirements
Minimum 1 year of customer service experience;
Previous experience in collections, with proven success in collecting on overdue accounts is an asset;
Post-secondary education would be considered an asset;
Experience in dispute and conflict resolution;
Customer centric attitude; and
Excellent organization and prioritization skills.
